Dr Auth is expert in the following areas:

·      Gastro-intestinal and bowel disease,

·      Nutrition,

·      Motility disorders,

·      Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease,

·      Food allergies (milk allergy) and intolerances,

·      Endoscopies (diagnostic: OGD and colonoscopy. Therapeutic: foreign body removals, polyp removals, dilatations, gastrostomy/PEG insertions, feeding button placements, techniques to stop bleeding)

·      Acute and chronic inflammation (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis) and infections of the digestive system,

·      Coeliac disease,

·      Liver and gallbladder disease,

·      Bowel polyps,

·      Rectal bleeding,

·      Faecal incontinence,

·      Chronic constipation,

He has large experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, video capsule endoscopy,  PEG insertions, polypectomies,  abdominal ultrasound and imaging, functional gastro-intestinal investigations, breath tests, and reflux investigations.

His recent interests and publications show how the outcome of children with inflammatory bowel disease can be improved, how to set up and interpret gastro-oesophageal reflux investigations, and how food related disorders of the oesophagus and gastro-intestinal tract affect the quality of life in children and their families.
